At the end of his college career, Blake Griffin was known as a high-flying dunk specialist from Oklahoma, but how he would perform at the professional level was a mystery. What was known, however, was that he was the consensus No. 1 in the 2009 NBA Draft, and that for the time prior to the draft, the eyes of the basketball world would be on him. Keeping that in mind, our work with Blake began with a campaign to capture that attention. We set up a mini web site with a Twitter visualization on its home page, and a Twitter account for him, and immediately, got the word out to his Oklahoma fan base and to die-hard NBA fans that he was online. By the time the draft arrived, he had already accumulated 30,000 followers and fairly significant weekly site traffic. Blake’s 2009-10 season was derailed by injury, but at the start of the 2010-11 season, we designed a new web site presence in conjunction with FOX Sports and their in-house development company. The timing could not have been better. From the opening tip, Blake lived up to the hype. Each of his games becoming must-see television for NBA fans, and he is quickly becoming one of the league's most popular players. Services IncludeWeb Development |
