Jim Calhoun, head coach of the University of Connecticut, is a two-time NCAA champion and a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame. He is one of the winningest college coaches of all time. Over a career that has spanned four decades, he has become known for his relentless work ethic and fierce determination to win.

Our job was to introduce media and fans to the man behind the accomplishments, a person known to the UConn family simply as Coach. To do that, we developed an online campaign that revealed a Jim Calhoun normally reserved for the players and staff who come into contact with him every day. We told his story, which began with the death of his father at a young age, and then let his players tell their stories about him. Through the mosaic of their recollections, which are hosted on his web site, a complete picture of Coach came into being.

A second phase of the campaign, driven by a combination of original content and social media tools, is now underway.
