It was a very exciting month here at Athlete Interactive, courtesy of the 15th Annual Webby Awards.

"A Week in the Life With Steven Jackson," our three-part web series, was named one of five nominees worldwide for Best Sports Online Video. The caliber of the competition was impressive, and included entries from ESPN, the Los Angeles Times, Major League Baseball, and the Onion.

It marked the second time Athlete Interactive had been honored for a Webby Award -- and the second time for Steven Jackson. His official web site, www.SJ39.com, was named a Webby Awards Honoree in 2009.

What was more incredible than being nominated was the outpouring of support from fans and some heavy-hitting professional athletes across social media. Larry Fitzgerald, Ndamukong Suh, Maurice Jones-Drew and Chad Ochocinco voiced their admiration of the project, as did a host of reporters, including Mike Silver of Yahoo Sports, and Adam Schefter of ESPN.

We even got a shout out from MC Hammer.

We’re currently developing a television series based on the premise of “A Week in the Life.” Updates should be coming soon. For now, here's the trailer we produced for the Webby Awards web site:
